finally done with this post i had it in draft for ages
14/2/15
midnight flight to Perth and i was so tired due to work and last minute packing of my luggage. slept throughout the flight and had breakfast on the plane (have i ever mentioned i love plane food!!!). it was almost 6am when we landed at Perth and the temperature was 20 deg celsius when all of us thought that it will be a hot summer day. weather stayed cooling that day and it was all good.
our rented van and car and the house we stayed in for the week. the sky in Perth is so beautiful!!!
lunch at red rooster after we unpacked and washed up
headed over to Fremantle Market
had a drive around for awhile and headed for the supermarket before it closes at 5pm that day. that's about it for day one.
15/2/15
had breakfast made by sister before heading out
first stop: winery
third stop: had lunch at a restaurant at West Swan
anyway it was really really sunny i can't open my eyes properly
last stop: visited a cafe that sells honey and honey products
stopped by the park near where we stayed when on the way home
16/2/15
went to the shoalwater island marine park in the morning
took the ferry to see wild dolphins
and sea lions that looks like they are all dead (ALL ASLEEP and not moving an inch)
then to the penguin island to see penguins (obviously..) which were rescued or something. had a mini picnic there while waiting for the next ferry to send us back. it was really sunny and windy there my hair's all messy
next destination: the beach (but i forgot which beach we went to)
had something to drink at the cafe nearby before going into the sea and I ALMOST DIED in perth, because my brother pushed me into the water when he saw the waves coming as it was huge...and he was scared (wtf)
dinner at this fish & chips place at Fremantle (if i don't remember wrongly). the sky is SO beautiful in the evening, and we being tourists have to take some pictures
17/2/15
yet another day of driving around Perth and ended up at the mondo nougat
whistler's chocolate company
houghton winery
went to some beer place for lunch (forgot the name of the place), we waited for >30mins for our food when there we are the only ones dining in at that point of time. food was a little salty but not bad!
the cheese barrel and some winery beside it (i am obviously not interested to taste any wines)

headed to the city?????????? not sure where actually my memory is failing on me
18/2/15
went to the caversham wildlife park and zoo in the morning, happiest there because i can be up close with the animals (especially the kangaroos!!!)
very naughty donkey opening his jaws WIDE when he sees that we are trying to take a picture of him i was so amused by it
i met koalas for the first time ever!!! there were so many of them, all asleep...
they introduced the other animals at the show and i find wombat really adorable IT IS SO FAT
headed back to our house in the afternoon to prepare for reunion dinner with the family and aunt's graduation that night. had reunion dinner at a small restaurant opened by some folks from kahang, finally had some decent chinese food. the kind souls charged us at only half the original price because we were from the same hometown. graduation was held at murdoch university, it was an open air concept graduation ceremony and everybody was all dressed up
my outfit for the evening:
mandatory shots with the graduating aunt before the ceremony
it was so beautiful when the sky darkens but as usual after a looooooooooooooong list of names mentioned the ceremony finally came to an end. the refreshments were really good though hehehe.
19/2/15
mama's birthday! woke up early and walked to the nearby shopping mall with my aunt and brother to have breakfast and get a birthday cake. it's an excuse actually, we wanted to go to kmart. hopped onto the bus to get back to our house and the bus driver was kind enough to let us get a ride for free. headed to Watertown (brand outlet centre) and spent all my money there, not like i have much anyway. walked back to where we parked our van to realize that it was towed away because no cars should be parked there during that particular timing, some of them went to collect the car and there was a fine of AUD365 while the rest of us just sat at the benches by the road. lesson learnt: to read the signs before parking your car in Aussie
had dinner at the mall near our place, gross looking but taste good
43rd birthday but insisted to only have one candle on the cake
20/2/15
headed to Sorrento Quay Boardwalk at Hillarys Boat Harbour to take a look and ended up doing manicure as we were bored
lunch at Dome
took a walk around before leaving for the next destination

too bad we couldn't take a dip in the sea even though it was so tempting. the pictures taken do no justice to how beautiful the beach was
King's Park
had dinner at a restaurant named Positano at the city and the day ended
21/2/15
LAST DAY IN PERTH time really flies. inserting some random pictures taken while on our last minute shopping spree before rushing for the flight back to Singapore
at Perth airport
dinner on the plane have i already mentioned that i love plane food (ok its the second time)
the end of my perth trip i am in love with the sky and weather, missing it so much. definitely going back again someday to visit the other attractions like the Pinnacles. it was too long a road trip from the place we were staying at so we gave it a miss during the trip :(
